Rumour: EA Partners label to discontinue, Respawn's project unaffected
Publisher EA is shaking things up and among the casualties list is apparently the EA Partners label which saw third-party developers have their work signed up for distribution through EA's retail channels.
The likes of Crysis, Left 4 Dead, Portal 2, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Bulletstorm and Rock Band all passed through the program, but now it faces the chop in the pursuit of streamlining.

Valve has announced the top 10 best-selling games on Steam, and the leader is the alpha build of ArmA III, followed by preorders for BioShock Infinite. The 10th best-selling game is the complete edition of ArmA II.

Capcom and Valve have announced a new collaboration that will feature special PC content for Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 in which each game will feature content from the other game.

The Left 4 Dead team has released the Extended Mutation System for the L4D2 Beta program, which will allow modders help test the expanded tools before it gets released into the Steam Workshop.

Chet Faliszek of Valve has told fans there is "no need to flood us with emails," as the studio is already looking into what can be done about getting Left 4 Dead 2 possibly reclassified as R18+.
That would be the new age rating approved for Australia as legislators finally realise grown-ups play video games too. Any cost behind it "doesn't worry" Valve as it's "something we want to do."
