OK to first get a free boat ride you must stand at the front of the boat while it is at harbor. Then as the boat is leaving you jump on.

Hunting

These are hunting tips that I use when i first strated.First get a group then you should be the leader or someone a higher level then you. Have a defender witch provokes the monster to attack you enseted of the other person. Then have a attcker(s) witch only have 1 goal to attack (well duh).Then have a person use to cast magic like wind strick and some fire ball to burn stuff you know. Then have a medic witch only need to cure people. Then last have a Assistant witch weaken enemies or improve your party.
