2K Czech sheds 40 employees

Mafia developer 2K Czech has "realigned its resources" which means "approximately 40 positions" have been made redundant, but it's of "long-term" benefit.

Originally named Illusion Softworks, it was rebranded 2K Czech in 2008 and developed Mafia II and Top Spin 4. Their goal of top notch games "remains unchanged."

Warhorse Games formed by 2K Czech and Bohemia veterans

Former Mafia and Operation Flashpoint developers have left 2K Czech and Bohemia Interactive respectively to form a new studio called Warhorse Games.

It's based in Prague and they're working on an unannounced RPG. They're website teased it won't "disappoint fans of open realistic worlds". Warhorse is hiring.

Mafia II value bundles incoming

Gamers who missed out on Mafia II when it was first released can look forward to picking up the "Greatest Hits" edition that not only comes at a lower price, but includes all of the DLC that was released as well. The bundle will be called Mafia II Greatest Hits on PlayStation 3, Mafia II Platinum Hits on Xbox 360, and Mafia II Director’s Cut on PC.

Mafia 2's Joe's Adventures DLC releases 23rd November

2K Games has confirmed that the third DLC add-on, Joe's Adventures, for Mafia 2 will be released on 23rd November for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

PC and PlayStation 3 DLC will cost $9.99, while Xbox 360 users can download the DLC for 800 MS points.

Mafia II's pre-order bonus packs now available as DLC for all

2K Games has now released 4 DLC packs for Mafia II which were in fact the pre-order goodies given by select retailers if you look close enough.

All 4 of the packs can be had on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. They're named the War Hero Pack, the Renegade Pack, the Vegas Pack and the Greaser Pack.
