Marvel Heroes beta weekend embraces Iron Man 3, choose an Avenger to play

This weekend's open beta scheduled for Marvel Heroes is celebrating the theatrical debut of Iron Man 3, and so new players will be able to choose between Avengers from May 4th to the 6th.

The Avengers are Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Black Widow. Eventually there'll be 14 Iron Man armours to choose between in the full Marvels Heroes.

The MMORPG Marvel Heroes from Diablo creator David Brevik will officially leave beta June 4th as the game launches. It's a free-to-play MMO in action-RPG style with heroes earned and purchased.

For those in the Founders Program, early access will arrive as soon as May 28th for Ultimate Pack owners, while Premium and Starter Packs receive four and two days early access respectively.

Gazillion has released a new trailer showing off the new Iron Man content for their free-to-play action-RPG Marvel Heroes, inspired by the upcoming Iron Man 3 film. Some of the new content includes outfits from The Avengers and Iron Man 3.

David Brevik of Gazillion Entertainment has defended the Founders Program for their free-to-play action-RPG Marvel Heroes. They're not alone in providing these 'discounts upfront' to players.

The cheapest is the Starter Pack at £13, with the Ultimate Pack the most expensive at £130 - which is worth about £480 in content, claims Brevik. Gamers have spent "way more than that" on WoW.
