Zero Dark Thirty tie-in DLC coming to Warfighter next week

Electronic Arts has announced that the Medal of Honor: Warfighter downloadable content based on the assassination of Osama bin-Laden will be released next week. The DLC will be called "Zero Dark Thirty" in North America, to take advantage of the Kathryn Bigelow film release of the same name, and "The Hunt" in other regions.

An Electronic Arts moderator and playtester blasted the publisher for what he considers a "betrayal" regarding Medal of Honor: Warfighter, blaming the company for ruining what he considered a "phenominal" (sic) shooter during playtesting.

US Navy SEALS in disciplinary action over EA's Medal of Honor

According to reports, seven members of the elite Navy SEAL Team 6 are being hauled in by their US superiors to face disciplinary action over acting without consent in aiding EA's Danger Close.

Each of the seven have received a "punitive letter of reprimand" with wages cut for two months. They are being charged in violation of Article 92 as they disclosed "classified material."

Medal of Honor: Warfighter looks to have created some real problems for EA. Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter published a research note stating it could knock the studio's ambition of toppling Activision in the FPS market back several years.
