1. FEATURES
***************
The mod is developed with the ancillary (retinue) system and affect only the
player faction.
- PROVINCIAL TITLES (Christian & Muslim)
When one of your general is in a settlement at the end of a turn,
a provincial title is assigned to him. If he also got a provincial title
or he is the faction leader no title are assigned to him. The titles are
transferrable, so you can eventually transfer it to another general.
When this general die, the title for the province return available.
If your faction is a christian one (Catholic or Orthodox) your general gain
titles that looks like "Duke of" "Count of" "Governor of" etc. If your faction is
a muslim one, your general gain titles that looks like "Bey of" "Emir of" etc.
Every title have its unique bonuses, that can touch loyalty, command, law, etc..
- PRIVY COUNCIL
Each faction have its own privy council, the symbol of the charge is the same
(shown in retinues) but the color and the name varies for every faction.
This charges are transferrable to a character to another, but there are only
one of the same type at a time, so cannot happen that you see 2 army general, or two first
councillor. Like provincial titles they return available when the owner die.
In general they are six, and they are:
Faction Leader : Obviously titles given to the current faction leader
Army Councillor : Given to a general (not faction leader) that remain in a castle
without moving for 2 or more turns and the castle have a "garrison_quarters"
First Councillor: Given to a general (not faction leader) that remain in a city
without moving for 2 or more turns and the city have a "city hall"
Treasure Concllr: Given to a general (not faction leader) that remain in a city
without moving for 2 or more turns and the city have a "fairground"
Security Concllr: Given to a general (not faction leader) that remain in a city
without moving for 2 or more turns and the city have a "tavern"
Kingdom Concllor: Given to a general (not faction leader) that remain in a city
without moving for 2 or more turns and the city have reached
and build the "farms+1"
Each of these titles give the general various bonuses, depending on the role.
A Councillor can even got a provincial title
- PRIEST TITLES
All catholic, orthodox or muslim priest become at the head of the local settlement
church or mosquee when they finish their turn in a settlement, these are transferrable
titles, that are given only to priest that haven't a title from another city.
The title of one city is unique, so only one priest can have it. Like provincial
titles they return available as soon as the priest die (or become pope)
The ancillary image is different if it is muslim, catholic or orthodox.
They are:
Presbyter of.. : if your priest (christian) is in a settlement (city) that have at
least a small church
Chaplain of.. : if your priest (christian) is in a settlement (castle) that have at
least a small chapel
Mullah of.. : if your priest (muslim) is in a settlement (castle or city) that have at
least a small masjid
2. INSTALLATION
*************************
Just put the files in you mod folder as they are packed into the zip file
The MODDERS folder include txt files with only the modified text, useful for modders
The VnVFIX fodler, include the "export_descr_ancillaries.txt" that you have to use
if you play with "Orientiss Vices & Virtues FIXES v1.1 for Medieval.zip"
If you haven't a mod folder ready, donwload and install this:
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...do=file&id=992
that configure your dir for use mods.
3. REALISM NOTE
*************************
This mod is not intended for purist. The game engine limits the action on the ancillaries,
so for example we have to roleplay certain situations, for example, you can transfer more
titles to one general, or to the faction leader, but is best if you didn't do this as an
house rule. Is also possible that if you lost a settlement your general continue to have
the title, but this can bring you to reconquer it.
Due to the complex medieval title systems, certain title aren't historically accurate,
but all of them are realistic. We try to add some localization flavours, but a purist
can not love too much this mod.
But the MAIN idea is to bring titles as in the old good Medieval Total War.
