The developers working on Metro: Last Light, 4A Games, have spoken up about the dissolution of THQ and their being auctioned off to another company, Koch Media.

After 24 years, starting as a shell company called "Trinity Acquisition Corporation", til LJN turned it into THQ (Toy Head Quarters) to house recent acquisition Broderbund, THQ is no more, having finally been dissolved and its assets auctioned off.

THQ global communications boss Huw Beynon denounced the Call of Duty series in an interview, stating that Call of Duty's repetitive formula "stamped out" what made shooters great.

THQ files for bankruptcy, assets bought by "strong financial partner" for $60m

Who saw this coming?! Well, probably most who'd been following the flagging financials of THQ. Bankruptcy has been filed for, but their assets have already been snapped up by the Clearlake Capital Group.

What does this mean?! Business as usual. No really, business as usual. THQ's four studios and games in development aren't stopping, and they've no intention of letting staff go.

THQ head of global communications Huw Beynon states that Xbox 360 owners will be "startled" by how much the 360 version of the Metro: Last Light resembles the PC version, even in terms of graphic fidelity.
