THQ had announced that Metro: Last Light would be coming to Nintendo's new console, the Wii U, even being part of Nintendo's sizzle reel at E3. While it was assumed that the rejection was attached to THQ's financial issues, chief technical officer Oles Shishkovtsov stated that wasn't the case at all. The Wii U, simply put, was not up to the task.
