Minecraft hits 3M sales
The phenomenon that is known as Minecraft continues to roll, as three million people have paid for the game now, even while still in its beta state.

This past may, Markus "Notch" Persson asked Minecraft fans if they would attend a Minecraft convention this November in Las Vegas, with an entrance fee of about $90 per entry. The poll has grown to 42,000 people saying "yes", 65,000 saying "maybe" and 94,000 saying "no". While 45% of the votes are "no", it's positive enough that the convention in Las Vegas is now a go.

You know those blocky zombies that attack at night in Minecraft? Markus “Notch” Persson wants to make the nocturnal attacks more unnerving, and has released a screenshot of what to expect: creatures with long, narrow limbs that are very slow and actually pick blocks up and move them around.
