Electronic Arts will release a demo for the latest incarnation of their arcade racer, Need for Speed: The Run. The demo will feature the game's unique staple: a race followed by the on foot interstitial cinematics complete with quicktime events.

Electronic Arts is looking for two UK-based spokesmodels to represent not only Need for Speed - probably specifically the upcoming Need for Speed: The Run - but also to represent their European Need for Speed racing team.

UK retailer GAME is hosting GAMEfest this September in the UK which is a consumer show based in Birmingham. The public can get their hands on EA titles.
Among the line-up is FIFA 12, Need for Speed: The Run, Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3. GAMEfest boasts fans can play the "most anticipated titles".

EA admit "worst possible idea" is Criterion releasing every year

Need for Speed is finally getting 'cool' again and EA don't want to screw that up and so that's why Criterion is forbidden from releasing a new game every year.
It would "limit their creativity and hurt quality." Need for Speed: The Run is due this year and is from Black Box. It uses Frostbite 2 and EA Sports' animation tech.
