Nexuiz is a 3d deathmatch game that is simply first person shooting reduced to the very basics with perfect weapon balancing. With its very intense and fast gameplay, it will hook the user in. Nexuiz uses such technology as curved surfaces with its detailed maps, bumpmapping, realtime shadows, 64 player support, and an advanced model format. The Nexuiz game contains over 1000 TGA textures, 15 very detailed maps, and over 30 characters to choose from.

| Developer IllFonic has explained why the Xbox Live servers for Nexuiz have shut down. They were controlled and paid for by THQ, and as the publisher no longer exists to pay the bills they got turned off. Fortunately the PC servers are completely controlled by IllFonic and will continue on. While it's possible they could buy the Xbox 360 servers from THQ, they "cannot justify the cost" right now. |
