Parsec is a team of game developers working on a non-commercial space-shooter called Parsec. Even though Parsec will be available for download free of charge, the aim is for delivering a product of competitive quality, combining the playing experience found in commercial games with free availability and unrestricted non-commercial distribution. This is called commercial-quality freeware (CQF). Parsec is going to introduce you to a whole new universe. The core of Parsec will be a network of gameservers each responsible for a single galaxy comprised of several solar systems. All gameservers will be registered at the central Parsec masterserver from where you can select a specific gameserver for playing.
