It does sort of wind me up when companies do this. Overkill Software, the team behind crime caper game PayDay 2, has posted a countdown timer on their website that's set to run down in around a month.

There's also some audio in the background with what sounds like two office workers talking about toilet seats. I've no bloody idea either.

The PC version of Payday 2's Big Bank downloadable content is now available via Steam. Featuring the game's largest heist to date, the new content also adds a "pre-planning" phase that allows canny players to case the joint before they make their move.

As well as giving players the chance to rob the infamously well-protected Benevolent Bank, the pack adds a new weapon, new masks, new loot, customisation patterns and more.

Everyone who's ever played Payday 2 knows that the best laid plans for the perfect heist generally fall to pieces a few minutes after you start a level, but in tomorrow's free update, The Shadow Raid Heist, panicking and setting your guns a-blazing won't be an option.

It's the game's first stealth only job. If you are spotted at any point an alarm will sound, and you'll have only 60 seconds to finish up and get out of there.

What's to thank for this? Starbreeze boss Bo Andersson points to "new business model, reorganisation" and establishing their own IPs: Payday and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

Starbreeze is working on a new shooter project called Storm but very little is known about it, until now. According to an investor's report, Storm is essentially described as "Payday in Space".

This little nugget was found from the Swedish write-up of their financial report which is publicly available. Courtesy of Google Translation sorcery, Swedish is decipherable.
