Valve has confirmed that Portal 2 has sold 4 million copies worldwide since its launch in April 2011.

Recently the employee handbook from Valve was published online giving the greatest glimpse yet into how the Half-Life and Steam creator operates day-to-day. Not so big on hierarchy.

The generally rigid management structure of most companies isn't for Valve. They value contributors and making sure they focus on the task at hand. Too much order stifles creativity.

Portal fan movie 'Companionship' by Uncharted and Killzone artist Poll

Alex Zemke who has been a part of projects such as Uncharted 2 and 3, Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4 as a graphical artist, is putting together an animated film for Portal entitled 'Companionship'.

It'll feature Chell and at least one Aperture Science cube among its cast. It's a non-profit project and it'll be launching a Kickstarter campaign in about 5 to 6 weeks time for fan funds.

As announced, the Perpetual Testing Initiative (PeTI) downloadable content pack will be coming to Portal 2 on the 8th May free. It will include a Puzzle Maker and full Steam Workshop integration.

New Portal 2 map editor DLC announced for PC version

On the 8th May, the PC and Mac versions of Portal 2 will be getting some new DLC called "Perpetual Testing Initiative."

The DLC is free and will include a "simplified puzzle maker" that will allow players to create their own Portal 2 levels and upload them to the Steam Workshop. User puzzles can be voted on by other users after playing them.
