Early Project Eternity art and renders revealed
Obsidian Entertainment has revealed early art for Project Eternity. The Kickstarter-funded title, which raised over $4.3 million, was detailed by art director Rob Nesler.

Project Eternity raised a total of $4,163,208 during its Kickstarter campaign. Obisidian Entertainment believed they would never be able to produce an adventure game that didn't specialise on mobile devices. Then Kickstarter rose to popularity, a trend made famous by the success of Double Fine's pitch.

Chris Avellone and Obsidian benefited from the tremendous support from fans when the developer put their Project Eternity on Kickstarter, looking to generate $1.1M in funding and received over $4M. However, Avellone is unsure of how long the Kickstarter bubble will last in an interview with Games Industry BIZ.

With five hours left to go, Obsidian has added one final stretch goal for Project Eternity - at $4M, they'll "enhance the whole game".

Project Eternity has smashed through the $3.5M stretch goal of adding a new Big City to the game, and has zoomed to $3.6M with over 7 hours left in funding. Reaching what Obsidian calls "the impossible dream", the developer is pondering about what to do next.
