| Radical Entertainment has been hit with significant layoffs after the studio's Prototype 2 didn't meet Activision's commercial expectations for the franchise, and so the IP is effectively dead. However Radical have reassured PC fans still awaiting Prototype 2 that it is "indeed, still coming" this July 24th. The Blacklight virus "didn't spread as far as it could," lamented its creator. |

| Major layoffs at Radical Entertainment confirmed by A... (3) |
| Activision has confirmed that there have been "significant" layoffs at the Vancouver-based developer Radical Entertainment. The developer had most recently worked on Prototype and Prototype 2. The firings were due to lower-than-expected sales for the latter game. |
