GTR is a versatile Quake 4 modification that aims to make the game more enjoyable, and it's developement will never be limited with a ruleset such as "VQ4" (Basic Quake 4). Some of the changes are:
Lots of Gameplay Features
New Gametypes
Different Gamemodes (GTR, GPM, RFM, XSV)
Better Performance
New graphic shaders
New maps
Enhanced Q4 feeling
New Physics (Changed through gamemodes)
Tweaks and Options to make Q4 look better
Lots of HUD features.
It is based on the X-Battle 0.20 source, but it's not compareable anymore. GTR uses resources of the Creative Common Q4 project, such as Brightskins and Weaponskins. GTR will add lots of new gametypes to quake4, like Freezetag, OneFlag CTF, Time Runs to name some.
