Got tired of standart CPMA/QuakeLive ? Excessive Plus is the fastest, most explosive quake3 3D Action/Shooter (FPS) active Mod in the world. It works with Quake III, IoQuake3, OpenArena and Xreal. The mod and the community are active, We welcome You at our servers & homepage !
What about is this mod ? In a nutshell, "E+ is modification where all weapons are super-powerful and in every way excessive."
The mod is very extensible, so it's hard to say how servers are "typically" configured, but usually health starts at 300 and regenerates. The mod gives you the ability to multi-jump, sort of like flying, which speeds up the game especially if the grapple/hook is not enabled. The mod incorporates the FreezeTag and Unlagged mods, and is based on the work of Mr. Pant's Excessive mod (although there are some big differences). (by GoQuake)
Despite the statement above, E+ does not have to be fast or explosive. Unlike most Mods, E+ contains a powerful scripting engine that can alter its game-play in almost unlimited possibilities. E+ can behave or imitate (right down to the last setting and physics and extend) exactly like baseq3, Defrag, CPMA, etc. Ofcourse we have many own E+ game styles (plusN, e5r, bananarail..), some more popular then others, that's natural. And unlike other Mods, E+ has an active development process and versions designed specifically for Quake III or OpenArena. To test this, ask an Admin to demonstrate this for you, or even more take and create one by yourself. Similarly,
The first version of E+ was created in 2001 but not released until later. The Mod is based on Dan ‘Mr. Pants’ Schoenblum’s Q3 Excessive Mod which has spawned “Excessive Mods” for other games such as Unreal Tournament/UT2003/UT2004/UT3, Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force and Battle Field Vietnam. It actualy aint my own mod but I think it should be listed here. It is much better then xxcive or any other clone. It is much more configurable and has its own score boars, welcome message, hud's, chat protection, utilizes unlagged technology and LOADS of configurable things.
It simply rocks, has good default balance, single player is hard, but then Quake3 IS a multi player game . Try playing it at 1 april :), they have a real nice easter egg! (by Gieltje, moddb entry creator)
