New details have emerged regarding Capcom's latest Zombie-fest (that isn't really about zombies anymore), Resident Evil 6.
Amongst the tid-bits of information, (like the timeframe being 2013) it seems the game will be set in China, America and even Eastern Europe, with the story following three protagonists - Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, and a third unidentified man.

Capcom isn't pronouncing Resident Evil horror-less with RE6, on the contrary. There's no "one moment of absolute terror" rule to follow because it isn't enough of an experience.
Horror isn't confined to "just what is on the screen." Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi says the story, it's scope, the environment and character relationships "all play a part".

Microsoft's game information for Capcom's Resident Evil 6 mentioned under the titles online features that online co-op supported 2 to 6 players, with local offline co-op permitting 2.
It also revealed multiplayer as between 2 and 8 players. This morsel of information has since been pulled from the official Xbox website. Will RE6 outdo Operation Raccoon City for co-op?

Game details for the newly announced Resident Evil 6 have been dished out by executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi and director Eiichiro Sasaki.
The Capcom executives gave away some finer points after it was unveiled at the Resident Evil Anniversary Premier Party event. It's got the largest dev team in the series' history.

Capcom's Dave Turner, head of UK marketing, has said the Resident Evil franchise has had its popularity "increase massively" as it marched toward more action over the years.
Resident Evil 5 is the "biggest seller" so far, and it "makes sense" to keep going in that direction "more fully." It would be a "dream" for Capcom to entice Call of Duty gamers to Resi Evil.
