The Year is 429, Boniface a Roman General and Comes Africae, the highest ranking military commander in the Diocese of Africa, one of the most profitable regions in the Empire. Rumour has it that the Emperor Valentinian III wants Boniface slain. Trying to keep himself in power he asked the Vandals, a fierce, warfaring and powerful Germanic tribe, that has long been serving Rome as foederati - to assist him against the Empire - in return they will gain some land in Africa.
Boniface later found out he had been deceived by Roman General Flavius Aėtius and that the rumours were not true. But it is too late - the Vandals have crossed the Straits of Gibralatar into North Africa, the Vandal Lion has been unleashed, with 80,000 men assisting its campaign into North Africa.
Will you take the role of the Vandal Kingdom and conquer Africa? and later go on for Italy and the great prize - Rome?
Or will you be the Imperium Romanum Occidentale and try to keep the Vandals off of one of the most important regions in your Empire?
Or will you control the the Visigoths in this power struggle and try and take the lands of the Vandals for yourself?
Or will you play as the Suebians in Gallaecia, members of the Alamanni confederation who went with the Vandals to Hispania, and formed a kingdom there?
