Bilson proud of portfolio his team built "under dures... (0)
Former EVP of core games at THQ, Danny Bilson, recounts his time at the now extinct publisher, saying it was "brilliant at what it did" from 1991 to 2007 making a fortune for themselves and investors.

There were "legacy issues" which plagued the company, slowing them down. They went from casual and licensed titles to AAA but were "shutting studios the whole time," says Bilson.

THQ's UDraw failure "invalidated" Saints Row: The Thi... (0)
All the good that Volition's Saints Row: The Third did for publisher THQ commercially was effectively written off by the huge faceplant that was UDraw for Xbox and PS3, suggests Volition's Jim Boone.

Around that time Jason Ruben joined and THQ and things started looking up again, bolstering Volition's confidence, but they could already see the writing on the wall by then.

Bleszinski: Saints Row devs "amazing" but "dildo hold... (7)
Former Epic Games' man Cliff Bleszinski has given his two cents on developer Volition Inc and their Saints Row series. He wants them to "keep the crazy action" and mechanics, but 'grow up' a little.

The trouble with the GTA rival is that it's "immature" with its giant purple dildo bats, although it is "hilarious". Bleszinski remarks Battlefield didn't go after COD "by putting dicks on their guns."
