I. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum system requirements:
OS: Windows XP/2000/Me/98 with DirectX 9.0c
or later versions
Ghaphic Card: 3D board with at least 64 MB of memory
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
CPU: Pentium III 800+ MHz
RAM: 256 MB
CD Rom Player: Required
Keyboard & Mouse: 100% Microsoft compatible
HD Space: 400 MB

Recommended system requirements:

All CPUs of equivalent classes (e.g. AMD Athlon or Intel Celeron) are
supported.


II. INSTALL & UNINSTALL

INSTALL

Double Click on ScarDemoSetup.exe file, then follow on screen instructions.
Press \"Next\" button until the License Agreement and accept it to continue
correctly the installation. When the installation is completed, you may
change the Video and Audio configuration by clicking the \"Settings\" button.

UNINSTALL
To uninstall \"SCAR - Squadra Corse Alfa Romeo\" click on Start button in
lower left corner of the Windows Application Bar, then run over Programs
and then \"BlackBeanGames\" folder, then \"SCAR Demo\" one. Finally, click
on Remove \"SCAR Demo\" entry.


III. GAME START

To play \"SCAR - Squadra Corse Alfa Romeo\", click on Start button in lower
left corner of the Windows Application Bar, then run over Programs and
then \"BlackBeanGames\" folder, then \"SCAR Demo\" one. Finally, click on
\"SCAR Demo\" entry. At the end of the animated intro, press any key
to proceed to the main menu. For a better performance of the game,
please select the \"Configuration\" entry in the \"BlackBeanGames\" folder.
To improve SCAR performance, try to change Video Settings (change video
resolution, ingame refresh rate etc.) and/or Audio Settings (like
Hardware support, voices Numbers and so on).

If you\'re using a joystick or steering wheel, you\'re suggested to set Steering
Assistance off in Controllers menu of the Options.


V. TROUBLESHOOTING

1. VIDEO
First of all, check that your computer is fully compliant with the hardware
requirements. SCAR Demo requires a 3D card with at least 64 MB of video
memory.
The install process checks that DirectX is properly installed and eventually
updates it with a later, compatible version if needed. In order to solve any
graphic issue, first try to install updated video card drivers, available on
the manufacturer web site. If it doesn\'t solve the problem try to uninstall
and reinstall the software. If that fails, contact the customer support
service.
To help you to improve your performance, try to change the video resolution
or the refresh rate of your monitor. If the game\'s frame rate drops, try to
reduce the video effects like the depth of field and/or the cubic enviroment.
You may experience problems during the game if you have a CPU processor that
does not support SEE istruction set.

2. AUDIO
Should you experience audio problems, please use the following settings:
Mixing Hardware: Off
Reverbs: Off
Voices Number: 32


VI. KNOWN ISSUES

1.
In Windows 98 (all versions) or Windows Millenium Edition (all
versions), you do not have any chance to hear all the music theme in-game and
in
all of the menu.

2.
Audio chipset \"SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio\" mounted on \"Asus P4PE\"
motherboard has these known issues:

- When Hardware Mode is active and, at the same moment, a 3D voice is
played, all the 2D voices become mute.

- When Software Mode is active, all the reverbs have the volume settings
mischanged. We suggest you to choose the Software Mode with reverbs disabled
and 32 voices selected.
