SimCity Social trailer is tongue-in-cheek gibe at Zynga's Ville series 
EA are trying to wrestle the mighty Zynga social empire and their latest gambit is SimCity Social on Facebook, which is now in open beta. They've just released a new trailer declaring "more city, less ville."

A month ago, Electronic Arts purchased several domain names for SimCity Social. The publisher officially announced the Facebook game at their E3 press conference today, as well as Madden NFL Social.

It seems that Electronic Arts is attempting to repeat the success of The Sims Social by bringing SimCity to Facebook as well with SimCity Social.
Electronic Arts has registered several domains including SimCitySocial.com, SimCity-Social.com and SimCityFacebook.com, while creating a currently unpublished SimCity Social Facebook page.
