An ultimate retail edition of Ironclad Games' space RTS Sins of a Solar Empire is now available. Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion - New Frontiers Edition pack together the core game and its Forbidden Worlds DLC expansion.

Forbidden Worlds was released last month, and added a bunch of new planet types, technologies and bonuses. It was the first DLC in the Sins series' history.

Prepare to swoon PC gamer as former Civilization series devs who formed Oxide Games are now showcasing their 64-bit game engine Nitrous, and have gone straight for the jugular with space battles.

This isn't just any battle wots in space, but a mighty conflict between hundreds upon hundreds of units. They're all calculated individually, including their weapons turrets. It's powered by AMD's Mantle.

Ironclad Games' space RTS Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion has just gotten a big bigger as the new Stellar Phenomena DLC has launched. It features new stars for systems to orbit, new anomalies and new events.

Radiation spewing pulsars, ravenous black holes and crushing neutron jerks are set to be all the rage. Six new anomalies also offer new strategic benefits, and eleven events are primed.

Stardock has announced that it's celebrating its 20th anniversary by having a Steam sale. The deal will slash prices between 50 to 75 percent on games and downloadable content.

Kalypso Media has brought Ironclad Games' 4X RTS into retail stores, meaning it is now in physical swag form. A "fully illustrated" manual, soundtrack, poster and hotkey card are included.

Rebellion added a number of improvements to Sins of a Solar Empire, namely some huge Titan-class ships, as well as doubling factions as each split into Loyalists and Rebels.
