Review Space Hulk, review by herodotus

Old School...New fun for new audience.

This is a make-over of the old EA release of the same title of the top-down turn-based strategy/shooter of the same name. Made by Teardown, it is refreshing to once again find gamepkay far outstripping graphics in terms of sheer fun and that "wow" factor that's hard to describe. You can't help that "just one more turn" frive that kicks in as you lead a squad of four Terminator Space Marines from one of four selected Chapters battling against Genestealers in what is meant to be an abandoned spaceship, though is literally a series of corridors and rooms. Sadly they ran into problems from the GW and had to pull the game from D/L recently. The problem appatrntly lies with THQ, who own the rights of 40,000 universe for the PC and consoles, so long as they don't introduce anything new or not approved by the GW. Check Teardown's website as they update constantly with progress on how they are continuing further development of the title and their repeated attempts to communicate with THQ. Its' a true David and Goliath story in the games industry, and hits on their site give them continued encouragement and support. It's good to see the old game resurrected...and its' FREE, when D/L becomes available again.
