 EA's John Schappert has said during an investor call that FIFA 10 has sold more through retail than FIFA 09 has by 31 percent in Europe.
The executive also said it's "outselling Pro Evolution Soccer 4 to 1." This comes amidst EA beating their chest over core IP 'revitalization'. | |

 Age of Conan developer Funcom has been granted $260k from the Norsk Film Institutt, to help in the development of a Snowboarding game.
It's the Norwegian government's digital arts division, and they're supporting Funcom's 'On The Edge Of The World'; a free-to-play onliner. | |

Over 10 million online matches have been played since launch, with over 155,000 users connected simultaneously at peak times. Fans show "just how much they love this game." | |

 The upcoming FIFA 10 will have the Dutch national football team in all their actual glory this year, something that past titles have missed out on and had to fictionalize.
A deal has been struck which gets the official football players into the game, something that rival PES had accomplished a while back. Well done EA, the Netherlands is no longer fictional. | |

 EA Sports boss Peter Moore has revealed they've parked up NASCAR in favour of the new mixed martial arts franchise they started. Need for Speed to fill the void?
Moore "thoroughly enjoyed" the relationship with NASCAR when he first arrived, but EA Sports MMA looks too good to pass up. EA "had to redeploy" the racer devs to the MMA project. | |

 EA has confirmed that a playable demo for FIFA 10 will be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 10th in Europe and September 17th in North America. The teams playable in the demo are Barcelona, Munich, Juventus, Chelsea, Bayern, Marseille and Chicago Fire. Exhibition match is available, but for the first time players will be able to upload their videos to EA's Football World. | |

 Eidos confirmed to Strategy Informer this morning that Championship Manager 2009 has been delayed until Eidos' next financial year, beginning July 1st. Sega has issued a statement regarding the issues and says that it's aware of the problems and a solution is in place. "Sega are aware that there have been some problems with the activation of Football Manager 2009 today," read the statement. Due for release on 17th October, PES 2009 marks the triumphant return of what is regarded as the most realistic football title for any format.
