S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clean UI v0.9

This mod has two main objectives: to simplify the
Clear Sky user interface (UI), and to enhance its
convenience. The features:

¤ Replaced the crosshair with a tiny dot for a cleaner look.
¤ Removed developer movies at startup because they were annoying.
¤ Removed the redundant blinking disk icon because it served no purpose and was annoying.
¤ Removed the compass from the mini-map because I have not once found it useful during my 5+ play-throughs of Clear Sky.
¤ Removed the borders of the mini-map because they were ugly and limited the amount of visible mini-map space.
¤ Removed the 'available contacts' box, changed the font of the digits, and moved the digits to the bottom left corner of the mini-map for minimal obstruction of visibility.
¤ Expanded the box which displays the distance to the active objective (in meters) because the numbers were leaking over the top-most border.
¤ Cleaned up the map portion of the mini-map for better visibility and because the 'shattered glass' -effect was very low quality.
¤ Enhanced the quality of the red radiation bar which fills up the radiation-o'-meter in an irradiated area.
¤ Repositioned the radiation, burn, psy and acid indicators around the radiation-o'-meter because it looks cool that way.
¤ Fixed a bunch of problems with my previous mod, 'Transparent Inventory', and integrated it into this mod.
¤ Recolored / replaced a whole whack of vanilla icons, because they were low quality, or because they just didn't look good.
¤ Resized some portions of some icons and repositioned the silencer attachment on bigger assault rifles, since the silencer had a nasty habit of leaking over the border of the cell inside which the end of the barrel resides.
¤ Scar has a new look (thanks "The Evil Goat"), which I have slightly enhanced by a DOF effect.
¤ The inventory grid sizes have been reworked completely -- the player's inventory is now comprised of much more grids for reduced scrolling, and as a result, much more icons fit into a smaller space.
¤ Cleaned up the top-right part of the inventory screen by reducing the size of the borders of, for example, the faction badge icon thingy.
¤ Probably something else I forgot to mention, but no matter, the screenshots speak for themselves..

I made this mod for myself, but I thought it would be nice to share it with the community, since I found it to somewhat elevate my enjoyment while playing Clear Sky. Please try it out in-game, and do not judge or give it a rating solely based on the screenshots.

This mod does not require you to start a new game
and should be compatible with any other mod which
doesn't include the same files as this one. This
mod was created using the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear
Sky v1.5.08 patch.

NOTE: This mod was created and tested at 1600x1200
resolution, which is a 4:3 aspect ratio. Since the
game uses a separate file for 16:9 (widescreen)
ratios, I wasn't able to make certain changes
available for widescreen resolutions (mostly grid
size changes), in fact, the mod may not work
correctly for 16:9 users. Sorry.. :(

NOTE(2): This mod is SRP 0.7.2 -compatible.

1.) Navigate to your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - CS root directory (default: C:Program FilesDeep SilverS.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky)

2.) Open the file "fsgame.ltx" with a text editor such as Notepad, and edit the line:

$game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata

... Such that it looks like the one below:

$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata

All you have to do is change the "false" to "true".

3.) Extract the contents of the .zip file this readme was in, to your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - CS root directory.

Simply remove all of the files created by this mod.

Credits... (In no particular order)

- BobBQ for some miscellaneous icons.
- RemCo for the G36 icon (from CS: Enhanced).
- The Evil Goat for his cinematic Scar icon.
- Me (Decane) for everything else.
- GSC for making the game.
