- Gundam Century is a patch which converts Blizzard's sci fi RTS (realtime strategy) game; Starcraft, into a environment based upon a Japanese animation phenomenon called Mobile Suit Gundam. The animation started back in 1979 designed and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino. Gundam was an instant success in Japan spawning a multitude of model kits, videos, franchises, school stationary, card games, action figures to soundtracks. Everybody possible in Japan knew about Gundam one way or another; parents, children, youngsters, adults, thrived on the concept of realistic mecha (robot) battle and an engrossing storyline.
Gundam Century is a patch for Starcraft designed to simulate the Gundam world. It is produced and made completely by me; Stuart Ng, (aka Kuren) out of free time and my love for Gundam. Intentionally, I was planning to make a complete patch which would convert all of the graphics, races, unit statistics, sounds, and environments to ones which would completely suit the Universal Century world of Gundam. Unfortunately, this project has come to a halt due to technical limitations of the Starcraft engine and numerous things in my life.
Gundam Century however has become an international phenomenon among numerous countries. Well known in Korea and many parts of Asia, Gundam Century is so well received that it has appeared in many magazines with full interviews of me and short strategy guides. It has even gotten to a point where it is sold as pirated software by numerous illegal software distributors. Gundam Century though is not meant for profit in anyway on my behalf. It's main purpose is for entertainment value and for my portfolio.
