Dead Island: Riptide surges atop UK chart, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen 3rd
Techland's Dead Island: Riptide has debuted 1st place in the UK all format chart, knocking Injustice: Gods Among Us down a peg, but it still beat Capcom's release of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.
Star Trek launched 4th, as Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite nudged down 5th and 6th. LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins, a prequel for 3DS, managed a respectable 8th.

It seems that the hyped drop-in/drop-out co-op multiplayer for the PC version of Star Trek: The Video Game is simply not working.

As Star Trek is due to be released on the 26th April 2013, William Shatner and the Gorn captain once again duke it out - 40 years later, and neither is particularly energetic enough to replay it fully.

License tie-in video games (and movies) are generally awful, but Paramount Pictures swears that the upcoming Star Trek: The Video Game is "not a licensed game" because they're funding all of it.
They didn't receive cash from some licensor to make it - it's all their own work, with the goal to make the "most authentic Star Trek game we could." They've been cautious of the pitfalls.

Paramount Pictures and Namco Bandai have partnered with UK retailer GAME so that pre-orders for this year's Star Trek game for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC will also net you tickets for the upcoming movie.
Star Trek Into Darkness premieres at cinemas around the world this May. The ticket is redeemable through a "special microsite," which can be used at any UK Cineworld cinema.
