== So what does this do? ==

Excellent question. You're very smart for asking.

Well, probably the first thing that you'll notice is that this mod also works

as a skinpack. This file gives you two

Han Solos (one in his "A New Hope" vest, the other in his "Empire Strikes Back"

jacket), Luke Skywalker in his gray ESB

flight suit, Darth Vader, an AT-AT pilot, and a Biker Scout, all of which are

selectable in all Multiplayer game modes.

But the REAL thing that this mod does, the purpose for which it was designed,

is this: it replaces certain classes in

Siege mode with the characters you've come to know and love from the Star Wars

films. Tired of playing as some random

Rebel soldier or a nameless Dark Jedi Reborn? Wondering where exactly Han is

during this supposed "Battle of Hoth"

you're playing? Well, with this patch, I'll tell you where he is: he's on the

front line!

And probably the coolest feature of this mod: not everyone playing Siege with

you needs this patch for it to work on your

computer! Sure, to them you'll still look like a boring ol' Rebel soldier...

but on your screen, you're Han Solo!

--------------------------------------------------------

== What to expect in Version 2, should it ever happen ==

There's still a pretty big list of stuff I'd like to do for the next version of

this, if possible:

I originally wanted Luke on Hoth to be in his orange Rebel flightsuit without a

helmet , but I could only find fairly

cheesy-looking painted-on reskins of it. I've heard rumors that HapSlash is

working on a model for a Flightsuit Luke,

but it wasn't out when I was putting this mod together.

There HAS to be a way to change what lightsabers the different characters hold,

right? I mean, sure, it doesn't make

sense for Luke to be using a double-bladed saber at all, but I had to keep it

like that so that the mod still works

when you're playing with people who don't have Movie Star Siege. But I would

want to at least change WHICH saber-staff

he uses, and find one that at least looks a bit closer to the saber he had in

Empire. If only I could figure out how...

but the logical solution doesn't seem to work.

I want to figure out a way to change out Lando and Kyle on Hoth (seeing as how

they probably weren't there for the

battle) WHILE KEEPING THEM on the Desert. The problem is that while the Assault

and Jedi classes on Hoth are DIFFERENT

Assault and Jedi classes than the ones on the Desert, the Scout and Demolitions

classes are the same on both maps.

The Luke and Han models were designed for Jedi Outcast, so while they work for

the Siege mode on Academy, they all

end up acting kinda wonky when you use them in a FFA with dual sabers. Problem

is, though, that the only way to fix

this is to change the bone structure in the model, which I don't have a clue

how to do. If someone with the know-how

would take the initiative to convert these skins for Jedi Academy, that would

be awesome.

I would maybe want to replace Jan Ors with Leia as the Rebel Tech, probably

both on Hoth and the Desert, but I couldn't

find a Leia model besides the one in her Boushh disguise. If anyone has seen a

good Leia (maybe in her Hoth gear),

drop me a line.

And MAYBE I would want to tinker with the classes on the Star Destroyer bonus

map... but they really don't make any

difference, since you just jump into a ship and never see your player model

again.

== Distribution Notes ==

This mod was created to be enjoyed by everyone, so feel free to distribute this

pk3 as much as you'd like without my

permission. Give it to all your friends. Post it on other websites (so long as

all six readme files are still in the zip,

that is!). Spread the wealth.

If you want to use this mod as a component for something else you're cooking

up, though, I'd appreciate it if you'd

drop me a line at ramutboxo@hotmail.com and explain what you're up to. And if

you want to use one of the skins for

something, contact the respective author.

--------------------------------------------------------

== Big Ups and Shout-Outs ==

I said it before, and I'll say it here again: thanks a million to the guys who

made these skins and gave me their

permission to use them in this mod. Seriously. You dudes rock. Now that I think

about it, you put WAY more effort

into this than I did.

Just like everybody else, I'd like to thank Raven Software for creating the

awesome game that they did. (Now make some

new Siege maps already!)

And thanks to George Lucas for creating three awesome movies and two mediocre

ones (I'll leave which are which up to

the reader), which established the Star Wars universe.
