First published in 2001, the Stronghold series is one of the most respected in its genre, with the franchise selling more than five million copies globally. Stronghold 3 promises to build on these firm foundations with a significantly improved graphics engine and new gameplay elements. Firefly Studios' Stronghold 3 is due for release on PC in 2011.

| Firefly Studios has announced that the Gold Edition of their castle strategy game, Stronghold 3, will be hitting on the 25th May for PC and Mac. The Gold Edition contains all of the downloadable content and patches released to this point. The game will include the three core campaigns along with the new Blackstaff Campaign, four multiplayer modes including a new Coronation Mode, a sandbox mode and 12 historical sieges. |

| Firefly Studios has announced that the 1.9 multiplayer patch has been released for Stronghold 3, which fixes multiplayer and adds all-new units to the game including Siege Towers and Laddermen. |

| Stronghold 3 update released on Steam (18) |
| A new patch has been released for Stronghold 3, which can be automatically updated through the Steam client. The patch basically fixes some of the gameplay bugs such as walls vanishing and troops falling through map holes. |
