Tera pre-order headstarts today in Europe, tomorrow in NA

Gamers who preordered the action-RPG MMO Tera in Europe can start playing today, while their North American counterparts can start playing tomorrow.

It's all a part of the pre-order promotion that allows players to headstart their characters early to level 38.

Fans of the action-RPG MMO Tera in Europe can breathe a sigh of relief, as the European version of the game will have the gore slider restored, albeit post-launch. The gamers had been outraged at the removal of the slider as well as the lessening of violence to earn a 12+ PEGI rating.

Frogster has come under fire by a vocal group of Tera MMO fans for "false information" regarding its European launch. Unlike the US version which is rated Mature, it's 12+ in Europe.

Fans are incensed they've had content cut or toned down by Frogster. The group say the community was "patient for a very, very long time" but have been let down by Frogster.

NCSoft files suit against Tera developers, claiming they stole Lineage 3 assets

Prolific MMO publisher NCSoft has filed suit against Tera developer Bluehole Studio, claiming theft of intellectual property. The developer is comprised of former NCSoft employees, and the publisher is accusing them of stealing "copious amounts of confidential and proprietary NCsoft information, computer software, hardware, and artwork relating to Lineage 3," and using them to create Tera.

Tera gets 1st May release date

En Masse Entertainment has announced that their action-RPG MMO Tera will be hitting retail stores on the 1st May, with both regular and collector's editions, as well as digital release version as well.

Even before Tera is released to the public, En Masse states that they have a lot planned, not the least of which is the first closed beta test. Gamers can sign up for the beta by visiting the registration form on the official site here.
