1. Description
=======================================================================

Enhanced Weather is the next generation of photorealistic weather mod. Unlike most other such mods available, it merely adds to, instead of replacing, Oblivion's default weather system, resulting in a seamless blend of both vanilla and new weathers, as well as some unique features.

Enhanced Weather has been coded from the ground up to give a more immersive and life-like weather system, and much of its work is invisible, making sure that the weather 'just feels right'. With it, there is little in the game weather-wise that feels jarring or wrong, and the weather acts as it does in the real world: you can get long spells of hot weather with showers in between or changeable weather that can't make up its mind or just plain nice weather that is nice to relax in.

Enhanced Weather has many new and unique features designed with the user in mind. These include a light weight seasonal weather script, photorealistic textures, around 30 new perfected weathers, and user customisable night luminance levels, be it darker or brighter, without the need for separate plugins.

3. Installation
=======================================================================

OMOD Users:
Activate the OMOD. Any necessary plugins will automatically be installed.

Non-OMOD Users:
Extract everything to your Oblivion directory and select the EnhancedWeather.esm and EnhancedWeather.esp as well as any optional plugins you want (detailed below), in the mod launcher. Delete the "omod conversion data" folder.

To safely upgrade Enhanced Weather, or to switch from another weather mod, follow these instructions:

1. Open the console and type in "fw 38EEE" (without quotes). This will change the weather to 'Clear'.
2. Enter an interior, and save in a new slot.
3. Uninstall old version/the other weather mod.
4. Load, then save in a 2nd new slot.
5. Install Enhanced Weather 1.2.
6. Load, then save in a 3rd new slot.

4. Uninstallation

5. Optional Plugins/Customisation
=======================================================================

Enhanced Weather comes with a few optional plugins that archive users can choose from to suit their needs. They are:

Enhanced Weather - SI.esp: Brings Enhanced Weather to the Shivering Isles.

Enhanced Weather - Darker Nights, 50.esp: Makes the nights 50% darker than in vanilla Oblivion. Does not affect SI.

Enhanced Weather - Darker Nights, 80.esp: Makes the nights 80% darker than in vanilla Oblivion. Does not affect SI.

Enhanced Weather - Enhanced Seasons.esp: Contains the Enhanced Seasons feature of Enhanced Weather. More info below.

NOTE: The Darker Nights plugins are provided only for Direct2Drive Oblivion users, and can only be used one at a time. All other users should use the Enhanced Nights feature instead, which is superior to the Darker Nights plugins.

Enhanced Nights enables the user to set their own night luminance levels quickly and easily via the EnhancedWeather.ini. To configure EN, follow the instructions contained within the ini file. Enhanced Nights requires OBSE, which can be downloaded at http://obse.silverlock.org/. Enhanced Nights affects both Tamriel and the Shivering Isles.

Enhanced Seasons gives the seasons of Cyrodiil more atmosphere. With it, summers feel more vibrant and alive, and winters feel harsher and more barren, while spring and autumn/fall feel as intermediaries between the two extremes. To configure ES, select Enhanced Weather - Enhanced Seasons.esp, and follow the instructions contained within the ini file. Enhanced Seasons requires ScreenEffects by qzilla to function. ScreenEffects can be found at http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16323.

Enhanced Weather can also set your weather to be affected by your timescale, so it changes in time with your day. This can also lead to time-lapse weathers at very high timescales, which can look stunning. This functionality can be controlled via the ini. This requires OBSE and affects both Tamriel and the SI.

Enhanced Transitions allows the user to customise the time taken for each weather to transition to suit their game. This requires OBSE and can be configured via the ini file. This affects both Tamriel and SI.

6. Compatibility
=======================================================================

This is not compatible with any weather mod that implements a seasonal weather system (eg. AWS, All Natural, ANE). All other mods are fully compatible.

For compatibility with weather-related mods such as Weather Inside and Storms and Sounds, load EW after them, and use the vanilla plugin if several are provided.

This mod is compatible with Streamline, provided that you read its readme.

This mod is distributed under the agreement that it shall not be modified or redistributed in any way, shape or form unless the following criteria are met:

..All the developers working on it have not logged in at all for a period of 3 months or greater from the Bethesda Game Studios Forums (can be checked on their profile tab), or have themselves publicly abandoned the mod.

..Contact has been attempted with the developers regarding usage of this mod.

..Credit is given to the developers, and those whom they accredited.

..Development continues under the same course as was set by the previous developers.

..The mod is redistributed under the same license.
