not Galsiah's Character Development, by tejón.

BETA 20. Final tweaks and testing phase, no known bugs.

OBSE v0017 is required!

nGCD is a smooth character advancement system. As your skills progress, your attributes and level are automatically increased; there is no interruption, no "level up" screen, and no time wasted managing multipliers. The system through which your abilities are derived bears little resemblance to the standard Oblivion system, and you will find that different sorts of characters play very differently; each path has great weaknesses as well as great strengths.

Due to the complexity of the nGCD advancement formula, characters will be unique. Skills influence more than just their primary attribute (see the chart in the nGCD subdirectory), and the formula takes class, race, birthsign, and other factors into account as well. Health is based on Endurance and Combat skills; Magicka is based on Intelligence and Magic skills. Stealthy characters have less of these resources, but higher attributes overall. Some attributes will be lower than is possible in the standard system, and reaching 100 in any of them is a very difficult task.

There is generally no configuration needed, even with existing characters! nGCD detects your race, class, birthsign, and other special modifiers with no assistance. You can even use nGCD with modded races and birthsigns.

Level is calculated based on your skills. All skills are taken into account, but major skills and class specialization skills are more important to advancement. The only purpose of maintaining a character level is to generate greater challenges and rewards; it has no actual effect on attributes. Luck will remain at its default value, and will only change through Fortify and Damage effects or the like, unless you select it as a class skill, in which case all of your skills will affect Luck.

The standard Magicka regeneration method is completely removed. Under nGCD, Magicka regenerates at a rate based on your Willpower and Magic skills; the total size of your Magicka pool is not part of the formula. This means that a character with a low Intelligence but a high Willpower can now be a formidable spellcaster.
