DIBELLA'S WATCH

It was said that the Goddess of Beauty and Love herself created the Island. She created it for all the enemy races and fighting factions of Tamriel; as a haven in peace and tranquility, where all petty grievances would be forgotten, and there would be no cries of war and no clash of arms. She painted Her island like a piece of art. She made it with lush forests, streaming rivers and fertile farmlands; She raised mountains in the north and in the west, made beautiful islands and painted endless plains. She made the land for a beautiful people who She drew from all the races of Tamriel.

The People of the Goddess worked the land and erected great monuments; they explored, they learned and they grew in numbers. Their achievements were many and their society grew strong, although the road ahead was sometimes rocky and rough. The Island of the Goddess became the Paradise in Tamriel - as close as could be with people and not gods running it - which the Goddess had planned for.

But in the far west, the snake in paradise raised its head. The dark Deadtree Clan formed its black legions and stormed down from its prison in the mountains; to conquer, to pillage and destroy the peace She had installed. Angered and spurred by their devilish gods, they broke through, grew their numbers, raised their barbarian banners and set the march east to destroy civilization and beauty once and for all. Dibella's beautiful island was about to be torn by war and fire.

REQUIREMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This mod requires Shivering Isles.

OBSE and the OBSE Plugin Universal Silent Voice is recommended (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16622). Alternatively, use another Silent Voice extension. The HGEC body for females (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15802) and Robert's for males (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28646) are also recommended.

Coronerra's maximum Compatibility Skeleton is packaged with the mod. If you're having problems with strange graphical phenomena, please install this by going into the Optional Folder and dragging the Data Folder in the Coronerra Skeleton folder to your Oblivion Folder on your harddrive. This will install Coronerra's skeleton.

INSTALLATION

1. Unzip all the contents of the .zip-archive to your Oblivion/Data folder.

2. Use OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) to activate the .esm and .esp files supplied with Dibella's Watch

3. The Load Order is still sensitive. Load DibellasWatch.esm RIGHT AFTER Oblivion.esm (otherwise the mod won't work), then load DWAnvilTransport, and load DWIngameMap.esp last efter all of these above.

Sorry for the hassle. Future releases of Dibella's Watch won't be so sensitive, and files will be merged as well to make things easier. Please report any problems or bugs you find with this release. If you need more assistance, referr to the test-file "Getting it running" included with the download or contact me on the forums.

If upgrading from a previous Beta Version, you will most effectively succeed by following this procedure in creating a clean save. Start by taking your character out of Dibella's Watch and into Tamriel Worldspace again; also, leave no things in Dibella's Watch as they will disappear. Save the game. Deactivate Dibella's Watch in OBMM or in Setup Menu Data Files. Enter the game and load your saved game without Dibella's Watch activated. Save the game right there. Exit the game and activate the new version of Dibella's Watch, and then play and enjoy this latest version.

NOTE: THIS IS BETA

This is released to the public only for feedback purposes and bug-reporting. Please do submit your reports using the contact information below or on the Dibella's Watch ModDB page. Right now, you can visit the island and see its beauty and promising future. You can see the inhabitants live their peaceful lives since they have a working AI and you can enter most buildings. Oh yeah, you can also have a bit of fighting. New modder's resources have been used in some instances to make the land and its inhabitants more characteristic.

Status: The first stage of the Main Quest Storyline is now done, but this story will be far longer than this, so it is to be considered "To Be Continued". The mod is already huge, with masses of exciting locations to visit and witness; the landscape is detailed and all is hand-made, as there is nothing randomly generated in here. There are hundreds of NPC's inhabiting several villages, camps, castles and one major, walled city. This is already a working land, and the attention is now on creating more quests. There are several smaller quests already.

Dibella's Watch has been thoroughly playtested by myself to be bug-free and stable, which it is. However, as with all Beta, there might be bug-details in the seams that I've missed personally. Therefore, I do expect your feedback!

STARTING OUT

Travel to Anvil and speak to the Orc Captain at the harbour to get to Dibella's Watch. You can then speak to the Nord Captain at Port Zerrva to return to Anvil. In future releases there will be more travel options between Dibella's Watch and the Tamriel mainland.

Start the Main Quest Storyline by travelling to Shardville. Note that there is no fast travel on the island!
