So the first screens are in. Looking really great. Let&#039;s just hope it wont be simple graphic lift up. But THQ can be trusted.

I&#039;ve read the latest interviews with Relic staffers and the gameplay is set to be fully combat-focused. No base building for eg. You call your troops down from an orbiting troop ship. Waaaaagh!

No, sorry Metal, no Chaos Marines...yet. Might be in an expansion later next year, but so far the game is looking to be fantastic. Loads of RPG elements are being incorporated as well, and knowing Relic, this will be another runaway hit.

Space Marines, Tyrannids, Orcs and Eldars..that's it. There will be base building , but only in MP (and only 6 maps). Fingers crossed the 'nids won't be uber powerful, but Relic is a name you can trust.

mmmm, this could be really nice. But it seems that from the interviews they view this as an intermediate step, at least froma PC prospective, for Dawn of War 3. The DoW 2 has very much the console in mind, and then the adaptation to PC comes from what they alredy know. From previews it looks to be an intense group strategy game with a no-true-death feel due to the different objectives that needs to be taken care of, making losing a team member a bit too damned impossible to finish up. I am anxously awaiting this one. DoW was such a fun game.
IMHO, this won't challenge Star Craft II since they are not that very much alike. Star Craft II seems to be just that, Star Craft 2. DoW 2 is a new game then DoW was.

I think Relic have tended to establish this as the stepping-off point to a whole new DoW series. The focus at present is on the MP, and believe it or not most beta testers want this.

Yeah! So far so good..... I'm a DOW maniac and I've completed all of their game. I've got to admit, that Dark Crusade is better than Soulstorm.... So the latest game is little bit disappointing. I hope that this DOW2 can cover their lack of gameplay on Soulstorm.....

aslong you could play vs the AI on MP so i could start a lan game with me only s the AI then i wouldn't be pissed lol
