Wolfenstein: The New Order, it's fair to say, was a pretty solid hit. Not Watch Dogs levels of insane sales, perhaps, but successful enough that it could possibly warrant a sequel.

Something that creative director Jens Matthies, speaking to Giant Bomb, says the team at Machine Games "would love to do".

Copyright and file-sharing news site Torrent Freak is reporting that Machine Game's recently released reboot Wolfenstein: The New Order has been pirated over 100,000 times already since its launch last week.

While that hefty 40GB download has indeed put some less patient illegal downloaders off, that doesn't seem to have been the case all round.

Machine Games' alternate universe Nazi-stomper Wolfenstein: The New Order has come straight in at the top of the UK game charts, kicking FIFA 14 back into second place.

According to chart compilers UKIE, that makes it the second biggest launch of 2014 so far, behind Titanfall. It accounted for a quarter of all entertainment software sold last week. Not bad, Blazkowicz, not bad at all.
