Free-to-play MMO studio Wargaming.net is tuning up and spit polishing those tanks ready for a right rumble to mark the 15 years they've been in business. They'll follow a 7 vs. 7 tournament format, common to eSports.

Yes, some tourney action is happening this month with the final games due June's end. 2nd and 3rd places won't walk away with empty-hands, but overflowing with "massive in-game gold prizes".

World of Tanks is rolling its treads once again to Tankfest this year, for the third year running, but this time they're being a lot more pro-active in their attendance. An £80k grant is being given to build a classroom.

It'll mean The Tank Museum in Bovington, England will open up a room dedicated to a "state-of-the-art" education centre to help establish links with schools for "better appreciation" of national heritage.

Wargaming has announced details for the upcoming 8.5 update for World of Tanks. The update will add new medium and light tank for both the German and the Soviet tech tree. Players will also be able to purchase all premium consumables with silver credits.
