Wargaming.net racks up E3 awards for World of Warplanes

Wargaming.net racked up the awards at this past E3 2012 in Los Angeles, which was held from the 5th June to the 7th. The publisher held 10,000 square feet of space with 50 gaming stations devoted to World of Tanks and World of Warplanes.

New British tanks rolling into World of Tanks

Wargaming.net has announced that the British are coming to World of Tanks, with a new British tech tree and some of the most recognizable armor of World War II, including the Crusader, Black Prince, Centurion and Conqueror, as well as some lines from America, France, Germany and the former Soviet Union.

World of Tanks getting major 7.4 update

Wargaming.net has announced the details of the 7.4 update for their massively multiplayer tank simulation, World of Tanks. The new update brings sweeping changes to the game, including a wide range of new gameplay features.

World of Tanks update 7.3 rolls in Soviet heavy tanks

Wargaming.net introduces "substitutions and additions" to the roster of Soviet heavy tanks in World of Tanks with the latest update, 7.3. The tech tree is redesigned with a new split branch.

T-150 is a newcomer to the MMO and a new battle arena is added; South Coast. There's also Dragon's Ridge, the first map in Asia. 7.3 gives a "taste for big and powerful heavies."

DUST 514 microtransactions adopting "similar idea" to League of Legends

Developer CCP is set to use microtransactions in their upcoming DUST 514 MMO which ties-in to EVE Online. However items bought with real money won't grant an "unfair advantage".

David Reid of CCP says they'll behave like League of Legends or World of Tanks, where you can play for free, buy something but it doesn't "necessarily make you better at playing".
