World of Warcraft paid subscriptions rise to 10M, Diablo 3 sold 10M copies
Activision has announced in its investor call that the publisher enjoyed $226M in profit for the fiscal quarter just past, up from the $148M during the same period in 2011. Much of it is thanks to a rise in paid subscriptions for World of Warcraft.

Blizzard has announced on the official Battle.net blog that the developer is working on the 5.1 update to tweak World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. A preview 5.1 build will be hitting the test servers, though it will only contain a portion of the content.

Whilst serving on a tour of duty in Iraq, British soldier Ben Shaw was hit by a roadside bomb in Barsa. Shaw was an avid World of Warcraft gamer - an enhancement shaman if you really must know.
Tragically he lost his sight, and you'd think his ability to adventure in Azeroth. Not so. Another player, Death Knight Davidian, has been his 'guide' helping Shaw to keep on adventuring.
