Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Désilets "working on" announcement

Soon the non-compete clause as part of Patrice Désilets's Ubisoft contract will expire, meaning the creator of Assassin's Creed will be free to talk about any new projects.

Nosy sleuth Superannuation asked Désilets whether he'd have something to announce by then, to which he replied "probably, yes..." It would put such news close to E3.

Ubisoft announce Assassin's Creed Heritage Collection, bundles original titles

It's been a few years since the original Assassin's Creed released, and there's been four major new titles since then. Obviously it's time for a bundle. Ubisoft usher in the Assassin's Creed Heritage Collection.

They bill it as a "high value compilation" starting with the original haystack-diver Altair in Assassin's Creed all the way through to frontier-exploring Connor in Assassins' Creed III.

Original Assassin's Creed bigwig Jade Raymond will be returning to the series as her Ubisoft Toronto studio is counting the parkour assassin series among five projects currently in the works at the developer.

It's a "very near and dear" IP to Raymond, as she reveals her studio is also working on "one other big franchise" they're not spilling beans on yet. Ubisoft Toronto has just wrapped up on Splinter Cell.

Ubisoft announced today that the Assassin's Creed Anthology, a collection containing every Assassin's Creed game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, will be released exclusively at Amazon in the UK on 30th November, 2012 for £119.99.
