Awesomenauts: Starstorm expansion on Kickstarter

Ronimo Games' Awesomenauts is getting an expansion if a freshly launched Kickstarter achieves $125,000. They are looking to fans to help make Awesomenauts the "ultimate indie MOBA".

With Starstorm the studio wants to "add features that require much more time and effort" than they can afford on their own. With 29 days to go they've raised $39k from over 700 backers.

Romino Games has announced that the Awesomenauts patch 1.13 is live, and aside from gameplay balance tweaks, the update also adds a new skin, the Creeper Clunk, based on the dreaded Minecraft creature.

Developer Romino Games is bringing a new character along with Awesomenauts for PC, but console gamers could see them too however the decision rests with publisher DTP.

The studio is "all for it and ready to do it," said Jasper Koning, adding they've "no concrete plans right now" in motion. The cost of title updates on consoles pours ice water on the possibility.

Romino has revealed the next two characters that will be available as downloadable content for the developer's 2D sidescrolling MOBA Awesomenauts.

Ronimo Games has released their first "Awesomenauts Community Address", which addressed the insolvency of publisher dtp Entertainment, gamer feedback and the content of the upcoming patch for the title.

The developer stated that while dtp filed for bankruptcy, they believe that the company will "overcome the obstacles and will continue to do business" with Romino, and signed an agreement to make sure the game could be released and receive support for "a long time."
