EA clear up "misunderstandings" for PS3 Battlefield 3, offers Battlefield 1943
Many were upset to learn that the once promised deal of receiving a copy of Battlefield 1943 if you bought Battlefield 3 for PS3 was not honoured, but now EA is offering PSN codes.

Electronic Arts is being hit with a class action lawsuit for reneging on the promise of a free copy of Battlefield 1943 in the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3, as announced by Sony at E3 2011.

Bless those DICE developers because the digital release of Battlefield 1943 only went and pulled in revenue of $16m for EA, launching on XBLA and PSN.
There's still a PC version coming apparently. The other top performer was FIFA Ultimate Team DLC cashing up $45m in profit for FIFA 09 and 10.

Face + egg = a rather embarrassing moment. EA, through some sort of bizarre error, has put up PC Battlefield 1943 on the digital EA Store.
Already they've cancelled pre-orders to the PC version spreading fear it'll never arrive, ever. The store page reckons it's back up for pre-orders.
