DICE not working on futuristic Battlefield "would love to make it" 
Lars Gustavsson of Swedish dev DICE confirms there's no 'Battlefield 2143' in the works at the studio, "but I would love to make it," he said. A lot of people "ran over and wanted to apply" for 2142.

The Battlefield series may be on its way to those awkward teen years, but creator DICE is twice the IPs age at 20. General manager Karl Magnus Troedsson is celebrating at GDC Europe today.
Since it debuted the series has "served" over 50 million players, and the studio is "in love" as ever with their "core franchise." A 'Premium Edition' is rumoured to commemorate hitting 10.

PlayStation Network US update announced for week of 1st May

This week's US PlayStation Network includes a discounted full game download of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and also Awesomenauts, which may or may not be available thanks to the recent insolvency of publisher dtp Entertainment. Otherwise, players can check out the demo for DiRT Showdown.

Having left Battlefield developer DICE back in 2010, Gordon Van Dyke went and joined the ranks of Visceral Games but has now left EA altogether for Sweden.
He says there's "room to explore, take risk" and make new "creative niche IPs" at Paradox Interactive. Van Dyke is on Paradox's secret Project Postman.
