PC where "great" game studios "are born" declares Ken Levine

Irrational Games' Ken Levine would like to make a point about PC gaming: it "will always" be the one platform that "drives innovation" in our industry.

All those great console IPs and their studios? "PC developers first," comments Levine. It's where the "leading-edge ideas form," thanks to low barriers.

Take-Two's digital sales less than 15%, as high as "40%" in 3 years

CEO Strauss Zelnick of Take-Two says in 3 years time they'll be seeing "20, 30, 40" percent of their total sales being made through digital distribution.

Currently digital sales equate to "less than 15" percent of their total figures, but "that's clearly growing." Physical discs will remain because of "huge file sizes."

Irrational is "experimenting" with multiplayer in BioShock Infinite

Ken Levine of Irrational Games, creator of BioShock, says they're "experimenting with lots of things" in both single and multiplayer for Infinite.

Not every game needs "world-changing multiplayer" for people to buy it, unless your Call of Duty or Halo - people are "not going to care" much.

Levine explains passing BioShock 2, "we've done the dark rooms"

They felt they had said all they "wanted to say about Rapture," about a dank and dark underwater rust bucket and "that kind of feel."

Irrational Games has announced BioShock: Infinite, starring the flying city of Columbia. It'll have plasimids and their own Big Daddy versions?

A debut trailer is out but the game won't be for sometime as it's due 2012. That brings Infinite to 5 years in the making. We need to rescue a girl.
