Infinity Ward trial date finally set for 29th May
At long last, the trial date for the lawsuit between ex-Infinity Ward founders Vince Zampella and Jason West and Activision for wrongful termination has been set for the 29th May. The suit will also involve Electronic Arts, which Activision accuses of conspiring with the duo for trying to sabotage the Call of Duty franchise.

Sony has announced their Spring Fever 2012 PlayStation Network update, which will highlight some new PSN titles, as well as special offers and discouints. PlayStation Network Plus members will get early access on games and up to 75% discounts on selected titles.

A California State Superior Court judge has thrown out of the two fraud claims aimed at Activision Blizzard by ex-Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vincent Zampella today. The claims are a part of a suit against the publisher by the duo over their 2010 firing.
The claim the judge threw out was a fraudulent-inducement claim which accused Activision of making false promises during their 2008 contract negotiations, which allowed the pair to develop Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Activision's contract interference suit against EA moves forward

California Superior Court Judge Elihu Berle has turned down Electronic Arts' motion to dismiss a $400M contract-interference suit brought against the company by Activision. The judge ruled that Activision had provided sufficient evidence that EA had broken the law in courting Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vince Zampella while they were still under contract to Activision.

CEO Eric Hirshberg of Activision Publishing has announced that Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops has amassed a huge 18 million sales for its map pack DLC.
Infinity's Modern Warfare 2 managed 11 million for the same time period. The average user spent $76 on Black Ops, says Activision, up 18% of the game's price.
