Syndicate and Twisted Metal demos highlight PSN weekly update
The weekly update to the PlayStation Store includes the release of the demos for Syndicate and Twisted Metal, as well as the debut of the puzzle title Puddle. A slew of important DLC has landed on PSN as well, including the single player expansion Ryder White for Dead Island, and the launch DLC for Soul Calibur V.

Deep Silver announced today that it's developing a new story DLC for Dead Island, which will see players taking control of the game's antagonist Ryder White.
In the DLC you'll be able to learn more about the single player story, giving insight into Ryder White's motivations and why he did what he did. You will see White as a military man and a loving husband.

Dead Island banned in Germany

Germany has predictably banned Dead Island due to excessive violence, and neither developer Techland nor publisher Deep Silver particularly care.
"This isn't unexpected," Techland revealed in an media statement, "Germany has its unique regulations regarding video games and violence and the industry can only comply. Both Deep Silver and Techland were aware of such a possibility from the very beginning."

Dead Island DLC "Bloodbath Arena" dated 22nd November

Deep Silver has announced that the oft-delayed downloadable content for their open world zombie apocalypse RPG Dead Island, "Bloodbath Arena", will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on the 22nd November.

Techland has announced that a new update for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Dead Island is now available for download. The update raises the level cap to 60, as well as fix some of the quest rewards, add new weapon mod blueprints, and grant instant item pick-ups, among other tweaks and fixes.
