BioWare co-founder Dr. Greg Zeschuk doesn't hold much hope in the next generation of platforms as catalysts for revival. Unlike Microsoft and Sony "pull something magically out of a hat," it's the same old tricks.

The trouble is that the new market emerging is "not really that great" - only some are making a ton of money, but most don't see revenues like from the console business. Need something innovative.

It may sound obvious but Michal Nowakowski of CD Projekt RED makes it clear anyway; they want The Witcher 3 to be of "at least similar quality, if not better" than RPG rivals Dragon Age and Elder Scrolls.

The business development VP argues that marketing can only achieve so much, and that a 'strong partnership' is needed to carry it the rest of the way. Can The Witcher 3 match Skyrim's acclaim?

Dragon Age lead writer David Gaider, with 14 years of veterancy at the RPG studio, has admitted he spends less time among online fans at the official BioWare forums due to user 'toxicity'.

It can make him "feel negative" if he spends a little too much time among them, remarking that the "signal-to-noise ratio does seem to be worsening," driving him and others away.

EA COO Peter Moore, formerly big boss of EA Sports, is not short on confidence in RPG developer BioWare. He declares they're "doing great," with many big successes over the past year or so.

BioWare has certainly had a rocky ride with the community these past 18 months, what with Dragon Age 2's fan reception, Mass Effect 3's ending and Star Wars going F2P.

According to a compiled list by Gamescom event staff, Valve will be bring Half-Life 3 to Cologne, Germany while EA's BioWare will formally announce Dragon Age 3 - or will they?

There's a cheeky little fine print in the PDF containing a "list of all the new hardware and software" due for this year's Gamescom. Their sources include the infamous Internetz!
