Dragon's Dogma demo landing on the 24th April

Capcom has announced that the demo for their upcoming action-RPG, Dragon's Dogma, will be landing on Xbox Live Arcade and North American PlayStation Network on the 24th April. The EU PSN demo lands a day later on the 25th April.

Capcom announced today that it will release Dragon's Dogma, an open world action title, for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 22nd May in North America and across Europe on 25th May.

Dragon’s Dogma will contain a redeemable token that allows gamers to download a Resident Evil 6 demo from the Xbox Live Marketplace on 3rd July. The demo for owners of the PlayStation 3 version of Dragon’s Dogma will go live on the PlayStation Store on September 4th in North America and Japan and September 5th in Europe.

We chatted with Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Capcom's producer for Dragon's Dogma, the studio's first real bash at an open-world RPG styled game chock full of traditional Capcom action.

Kobayashi-san says they're "nearing completion but we're not done yet," and that the "sense of pressure" on this very ambitious Capcom project is "still very much apparent."

The upcoming open world monster slayer Dragon's Dogma isn't all just action because we've got "pawns and they are intelligent," giving it a strategic twist.

It's not "too technical or difficult" to beat enemies but there's no "set way" to takedown monsters. It's how the player forms their party and strategizes.

The E3 trailer for Capcom's new dragonslaying game, Dragon's Dogma, has been released. The game has a sort of Monster Hunter feel to it, but it looks like it'll be a visceral action title as well.
