FIFA 12 feature footage leaks

The Internet has another leak in the form of FIFA 12 footage from EA Sports which shows off their new Impact Engine and other fancy added gameplay treats.

Physics now plays a role in determining how players on the pitch react to tackling, instead of stock animation captures. Injuries are also calculated by impact too.

Konami is confident that Pro Evolution Soccer is gaining more success and renown against rival FIFA from EA Sports. There's no longer a "massive gap" there.

While they "may not outsell FIFA," it's certainly a success from their point of view. Their progress is "beginning to be noticed" by fans. Few years to 'rebuild PES'.

Zumba Fitness remains limber atop the UK all formats chart

505 Games' Zumba Fitness remains the UK's number one title for a second week as it fends off LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars and Crytek's Crysis 2.

FIFA 11 is back with a vengeance rocketing 4th, and Homefront holds the line 6th. LEGO Harry Potter works its magic from 23rd to 11th. Pokemon nudge up.

Homefront leads UK chart, Dragon Age II nudged second place

The UK all formats chart is aflame with rebellious citizenry in THQ's Homefront, followed by BioWare's tale of immigrant to champion in Dragon Age II.

Pokemon White was able to fend off Total War: Shogun 2 from entering third, as it came fourth instead. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood back in top 10.

Battlefield 3 uses EA's FIFA tech

Studio DICE is using the animation technology that EA Sports put together for more realistic looking players in Madden and FIFA for Battlefield 3 soldiers.

Lead animator Tobias Dahl said he "started looking into the sport games" because of their accomplishments; animation "drives their games". It's called ANT.
